When: Sunday March 7 12:30 to 2:30
Where: In the Gym at OCC, 9900 Willows Road, Redmond

This women's self defense clinic not only will give you skills to help you survive an assault, but you'll be supporting a great cause in helping to end human trafficking through education, outreach, and advocacy. This is a fund-raiser for Eastside Women of Purpose who work closely with groups in Southeast Asia to help get women and children out of sex slavery and into safe housing along with job training skills.

Local Opportunity to Help Victims of Human Trafficking

We have a great opportunity to put up flyers along the I-5 corridor by contacting gas stations for their permission to put up HELP flyers giving phone numbers as a resource for people being trafficked. With the 2010 Olympics starting in Canada in February we want to canvas the area as soon as possible so here are the details.

WHEN: January 30, 2010

WHERE: Meet at 9 a.m. up in back of Overlake Christian Church (Back Office Entrance) to carpool to South Seattle area

TIME REQUIREMENT : 3 hours including driving time

EXITS WE ARE COVERING: I-5 Corridor Exits 136-162 or more if we have time

MISSION: Encourage gas stations as service providers to the community to be informed of our concern for human trafficking and provide information that they can share with co-workers and get permission to post HELP flyers on their property or in bathroom stalls
